**The Position**:
THP is undertaking the modernization of its business systems, specifically its human resources, payroll and staff scheduling systems, over the next two years. A project team has been established to oversee the planning and implementation of this project and it will be working with external partners and vendors throughout this process.

This role is primarily remote, however, on-site presence at any one of THP’s three hospital sites or off-site locations may be required from time to time as deemed necessary by project leadership.

**Here’s what you will get to do, within the assigned workstream**:

- Act as the primary resource for reporting deliverables and activities
- Support the development of a reporting specific workplan and maintain and update it as required
- Support the gathering of reporting requirements, including: users of reporting functionality; audiences (internal and external); regulatory / legal requirements; reporting cycles (e.g. year-end); privacy requirements; alignment to policies and procedures; compliance; automation needs
- Based on future state decisions, create functional design specifications for development objects (e.g. Reports) and unit testing of the development objects to ensure that business needs are met through the reporting functionality
- Build an understanding of the reporting mechanisms, structures, data sources and interdependencies where applicable
- Use computer software to collect, compile, and review business data
- Create spreadsheets and relevant reports
- Collaborate and communicate with data professionals, external partners / vendors and users (leaders, staff, etc.)
- Test the solution as part of the sprint cycles and integration testing cycles
- Support the ongoing development and optimization of the various system(s)
- Develop materials for presentations, meetings, engagement sessions and working sessions
- Participate in working sessions and discussions pertaining to the new system
- Establish relationships with other reporting analysts and resources on the project to ensure appropriate information sharing and standardization across workstreams
- Attend meetings with team members to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end user concerns, and upcoming milestones
- Identify issues and risks that arise in the workstream as well as issues that impact other system teams and work to resolve them
- Analyze business operations as they relate to build decisions
- Analyze, review, and test system functionality
- Achieve certification in the vendor’s system (if required)
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and to work odd or extended hours as required

**Here’s what you need to have**:

- Successful completion of either a University Degree or College Diploma in Computer Science, Business, Information Management, Finance, or a related field
- 1 to 3 years of experience with back-office (e.g. HR, payroll, staff scheduling, finance) system solutions and/or experience with such systems for a large organization an asset
- Experience with report requirements gathering, report development, report distribution
- Familiarity with applicable regulations, laws, policies and guidelines for reporting to third-parties (e.g. government, audit specialists, etc.)
- Excellent computer skills, with MS Office and/or Outlook
- Exceptional ability to analyze, interpret, configure and present data and information in a meaningful way
- Experience working on a project team responsible for a major information system implementation an asset
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail when performing a wide variety of tasks
- Strong technical aptitude
- The ability and willingness to learn new software and systems
- Demonstrated flexibility with respect to changing end user needs
- Strong communication, both written and verbal, and problem solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to prepare reports, presentations and other project documentation
- Ability to work both independently and in teams
