- Understand the importance of keeping a clean kitchen
- Enforce quality control - All products leaving the kitchen are up to standards
- Access ‘Production List’, and fulfill requests from all locations
- Ensure that pick-up and delivery orders are prioritized and completed in a timely manner, to meet customer deadlines
- Constantly looking for efficiencies, and ways to improve production
- Ensure temperature logs are being done daily
- Adhere to Health Department regulations/standards (FIFO, et.)
- Proper and safe use of all equipment
- Must be able to multitask, and work well under pressure
- Attention to detail & good organizational and communication skills
- Work with GM/Order Desk to order and maintain inventory
- Log inventory and waste in MarketMan
- Ovens are designated for specific products, and programs are used
- Ensure recipes are up to date, with correct details: recipe yield, time and temperature for baking, etc.
- Create, prepare, and test new recipes, as required
- Do a walk-through at the end of each day, to make sure everything is clean and tidy, items are put away, and the workspace is ready for the next day
- Deep cleaning is done as necessary (inside of fridges, floor corners, etc)
- Assist GM/HR with scheduling kitchen staff, when needed
- Responsible for leading a small team of bake staff, training new staff, and managing student helpers
- Stock shelves as needed (Must be able to lift 20kg bags/boxes)
- Must be able to work early mornings and weekends
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $16.00-$20.00 per hour
