Manufacturing Assembly Line Operator

Essex Topcrop Sales Limited is currently seeking a Production Team Member at our very busy Essex, Ontario manufacturing plant.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Retrieve bags of product from end of conveyor line and stack bags of product according to specifications and stack pattern provided, both in a box and on a skid (pallet).
- Set up pallets and packaging for specific products to be stacked
- Assist operator in filling and sealing bags
- Complete all required paperwork including pallet tags, production reports, weight checks, and quality checks. Confirm printed information on cartons matches product being packed
- Report all food safety problems and/or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate actions
- SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Actively participate in areas of continuous improvement and offer solutions to problems as required
- Ensure that all equipment is operating and any unsafe equipment or conditions are reported to the relevant authority, Plant Manager or Assistant Plant manager or supervisor.
- Be willing and able to work and be trained in other positions elsewhere in the operation whenever required

CONDITIONS:

- Full time: 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm, may be requested to work overtime
- Wages on a climbing grid with year one most reviews and opportunities to increase
- Position is physical -must be fit and able to lift 40lbs
- May require working both outside and inside in warm or cold conditions

Pay: $15.25 per hour

Supplemental pay types:
