We are seeking the ‘right’ person to fit into the Fence Depot & More family.

**What Does a Fence Estimator Do?**

Fence Depot & More, a smaller privately-owned, full-service fencing construction company and well-respected local 45+ year old company is currently in search of a Fence Estimator to join our growing business. As a Fence Estimator, in a casual dress and low stress environment, you would prepare fencing quotes and pricing details for our customers within the residential and commercial projects arena.

Duties would include placing bids for fence building projects, submitting detailed labour and materials cost plans, and overseeing multiple projects at a time.

You would communicate, on a regular basis, with clients and employees and follow company procedures for estimates. Other responsibilities also cover communicating with vendors, submitting requests for quotes and deliveries, organizing labour and work schedules, and using computer programs to provide accurate project estimates and outlines.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare a range of quotes and estimates for customers, vendors, and suppliers.
- Analyze company data, develop, and monitor budgets and prices using software packages.
- Review and assess cost estimates both internally and with customers.
- Identify labour, material, costs, and time requirements by creating and researching proposals, blueprints, and any related documents, as required.
- Prepare and present detailed cost estimate project reports to management.
- Oversee the different stages of company projects to ensure that the work is completed as planned and that the expenses follow the forecast plan.
- Work closely with customers, vendors, staff & employees.

**Requirements**:

- A minimum of three (3) years as an estimator or similar role.
- Outstanding mathematics and proficient in relevant software including MS Office Suite.
- Relationship-building skills and strong organization skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
