**CASUAL Caregiver **needed with flexible availability for 4-hour+ shifts

**THE WHAT**

**Other names for this role are: Caregiver/ Home Care Assistant / Community Support Worker/ HCA/RCA**

Non-medical, one-on-one care in the client’s home; the assistance YOUR clients need with the daily activities that will allow them to remain in their homes safely, on their terms, and with dignity.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities** (may include but not limited to...)
- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including toileting, bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Assist with mobility and transfers, using proper lifting techniques and equipment
- Meal prep, med reminders, light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes etc.
- Carry out and document tasks according to care plans, monitor & report changes in client condition & concerns and communicate effectively with client representatives & team members.
- Assist client with general household organization/ calendar management
- Transport & accompaniment for errands & appointments
- Encourage & involve clients in their care
- Motivate for healthy living: social interaction, exercise & good nutrition

**Qualifications**
- HCA/RCA/PSW or equivalent training and **OR** field experience preferred
- 2-3+ years (continuous/uninterrupted-with one employer) experience in caregiving
- 2-3 professional references
- Excellent team communication & people skills are a must
- Clean Criminal Check for Vulnerable Sector (no exceptions)
- Organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license/clean driver's abstract **AND access to** insured vehicle

**Hourly rate is established in agreement between caregiver and client based on experience, work history & skill. It may also vary by client, location & care requirements.**
