**JOB OVERVIEW**
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Signature Event Operations, the National Logistics Assistant, Run for the Cure is the logistics and administrative support person for the Canadian Cancer Society CIBC Run for the Cure team across Canada. The CIBC Run for the Cure is Canada’s largest single day, volunteer-led event in support of the breast cancer cause and is a signature event of the Canadian Cancer Society. The Assistant’s primary responsibility is the seamless shipping and receiving of all Run materials. The incumbent will support the Signature Programs Logistics Coordinator in providing excellent service to staff, sponsors, and volunteers at all Run sites across the country; processing information in an effective manner and ensuring all items are delivered to stakeholders in an organized and timely fashion.
**WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING**:
- Coordinates the preparation, kitting, shipping, and tracking of materials including t-shirts, signage, print materials, promotion items, awards, rewards, Run day kits and national sponsor in-kind items.
- Functions as the point of contact and supports the Logistics Coordinator in all shipping and receiving duties.
- Ensures vendors and sponsors have all necessary information for deliveries.
- Schedules pick-ups and receives deliveries.
- Tracks incoming items, takes inventory, and notices discrepancies.
- Prepares items for shipment by bundling per the allocations provided, groups by Run site and/or Region, packs, creates shipping labels, labels boxes, transports to the loading dock and records tracking information.
- Provides updates and tracks information when shipments go out/arrive and confirms delivery.
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials at the storage space.
- Ensures the storage space is kept clean and organized, and all equipment is in working order.
- Works in compliance with the provisions of The Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations and complies with the Society’s Health & Safety Policy.
- Actively contribute to our culture of justice, belonging, equity, diversity, and inclusion by ensuring that all staff feel represented and heard regardless of their gender, age, religion, ethnicity, and nationality or race.
- Other duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- High school education and minimum two years related work experience in special events, shipping or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Experience working in non-profit an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Highly detail oriented with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
**WORKING CONDITIONS**:
- Storage and office environment.
- Occasional requirements to work outside of regular office hours.
- Ability to lift 20-30lbs and stand for long periods of time.
