**Responsibilities**:

- Deploy prevention strategies to ensure a healthy and safe workplace for all;
- Participate in the development of health and safety culture by ensuring the implementation of accident prevention programs or activities in collaboration with production teams;
- Conduct regular floor rounds to raise prevention points in the workplace;
- Initiate and collaborate with the team of production supervisors during accident investigations and analyses, as appropriate, and identify corrective actions required in order to eliminate risks at the source;
- Set up various performance indicators to better communicate plant results to the employees concerned;
- Complete the audits required by the head office and any prevention actions requested as part of the deployment of the health and safety prevention culture;
- Act as a spokesperson for head office and provide leadership in this area to co-workers;
- Complete all reporting actions at head office, participate in scheduled weekly meetings with other JELD-WEN health and safety representatives and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.

**Skills and experience**:

- Academic training at the college or university level in the appropriate field;
- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in prevention management;
- Knowledge of various provincial health and safety legislation;
- Fluency in oral and written English;
- Experience working in a "LEAN" environment an asset.

- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Enjoy moving weekly between the 2 factories and working in various teams.
