**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Preparation of month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments as required.
- Preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.
- Provide detailed financial analysis, including variance analysis to support decision making.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Assist with development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to support a growing and dynamic start-up business.
- Assist with the external audit process.
- Support the CFO in forecasting and annual budgeting processes.

**Inventory Management and Cost Accounting**:

- Maintain and improve inventory tracking systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with the production operations’ team to optimize inventory turnover and reduce carrying costs.
- Conduct regular audits of physical inventory and reconcile discrepancies.
- Track and analyze costs related to manufacturing processes, including materials, labor, and overhead.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing data and providing actionable insights.
- Set-up, evaluate, and maintain integrations between interacting software.

**Collaboration & Teamwork**:

- Work closely with the finance team to support month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, supply chain, and sales, to align financial objectives with business goals.
- Collaborate with other departments to support operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA designation.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a financial accounting role, preferably in a manufacturing or inventory-focused environment. Start-up experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in software and advanced technical skills.
- Experience with software integrations is preferred.
- QuickBooks, Excel, and G-Suite, SOS or similar inventory management software system, data analysis, pivot tables and financial modelling.
- Demonstrated full cycle accounting experience, strong understanding of financial statements, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with cost accounting principles and inventory management systems.
- Demonstrated high level of integrity, with a commitment to ethical financial management and compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- High attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Self motivated and results oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
