Coastal Pacific Xpress is a seeking a passionate and motivated **Activity Monitoring Clerk** to join our winning team
**ABOUT US**:

**SCHEDULE**: 12 hour shifts: 3 on, 4 off, 4 on 3 off, from 6:00am - 6:00pm

The Activity Monitoring Clerk is responsible for monitoring on time pick ups and deliveries of all freight. The Activity Monitoring Clerk works closely with internal and external Customers/Stakeholders, ensuring timely updates of any delays are communicated effectively and professionally in order to achieve high Customer Service results.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Collaborates effectively with all team members in Transportation and Warehousing to achieve daily objectives.
- Provides the highest levels of service to all customers with whom they interact, whether internal or external, with the goal of continuously improving the customer experience.
- Liaises with external carriers regarding requests or inquiries as well as collecting all data necessary and inputting into system for all loads.
- Follow up/review of any pending and current pick up or delivery issues from dayshift and communicating effectively with partner carriers and drivers.
- Processes messages from driver satellites in Truckmate and maintains mailroom volumes.
- Follows up with drivers on failed messages to improve the efficiencies of our processes.
- Answers phones and directs calls as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with the company vision, mission, strategy and culture.
**KEY REQUIREMENTS**:
- 2+ years of administrative experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook platforms
- Proficiency with Excel; ability to grasp new software quickly
- Personally demonstrates that external and internal customers are a high priority.
- Analytical mindset, organized, ability to maintain high level of accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Identifies customer needs and expectations and responds to them in a timely and effective manner.
- Prioritizes workflow to ensure deadlines are met in a fast-paced environment. Adapts to shifting priorities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, and independently
- Working knowledge of or ability to learn new transportation software systems
- High school diploma and post-secondary courses in a related field
