**INTRODUCTION**

The purpose of this job description is to establish and define the functional role, requirements, reporting relationships, authority, responsibilities, and measurements of performance of the Chief Financial Officer at Award Construction Ltd. The CFO has a key role in direction of the business, growth and acquisition strategies and data analysis.

**FUNCTIONAL ROLE ** **The Chief Financial Officer is the senior executive responsible for managing the financial actions of Award Construction Ltd. The CFO must coordinate the actions of the accounting and finance departments and ensure that the entire organization meets fiscal responsibilities according to established objectives.**

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Education Required: Relevant Post Secondary Degree or CPA (or equivalent)
Preferred: MBA + CPA

**Experience required: 5 years experience working as a CFO, Director of Finance, Controller, or Accounting Manger.**

Preferred: 5+ years experience working as a CFO or Director of Finance.

**Skills, Knowledge, Abilities: Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports statements and projections. Excellent leadership and management skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Strong financial planning and strategy skills.**
- Work with purchasers, owners, investors to resolve issues.
- Authority to look for new and/or better ways to track the day-to-day operations in their area of responsibility.
- Work with purchasers/ owners/ investors to resolve issues.
- Communicate with the banks
- Project finances, banks draws, proforma updates.

**REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS** **The CFO reports to the President and Board Members of Award Construction Ltd.**
- The following report directly to the CFO:
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Execute the financial strategy of the company.

**Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.**
- Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs.
- Effectively and clearly communicate potential risks in a timely manner.
- Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained.
- Support the President with the preparations of monthly and annual financial plans and updates.
- Providing leadership, direction, and management of the finance and accounting team.
- Reviewing all formal finance, HR, and IT related procedures.
- Preform risk management by analyzing the organizations liabilities and investments.
- Manage vendor relationships.
- Prepare reliable current and forecasting reports
- Ensure compliance with the law and companies policies.
- Ensure all KPI’s are established, monitored, and adhered to.
- Manage the preparation of financial forecasts for the organization.
- Assess risk using financial, statistical, and economic date and create manageable solutions.
- Leverage advanced knowledge and skills to achieve financial company goals.
- Participation in acquisition, divestiture, and merger activities when required.
- Supervise cash management activities and execute capital-raising strategies to support a firms operations or expansion.
- Interface with banks, lenders and financial institutions.
- Direct audit and compliance activities.
- Establish and manage a capital investment plan, Develop and interpret management reports.

**MEASUREMENT OF PREFORMANCE**
- Maintain current fiscal Ratio’s as directed by business plan.
- Generate earnings from working capital with a minimum return of 6%.

**Salary**: From $134,259.00 per year
