**Job Description - Specialty Supervisor**

**(Extreme/One-off/Lawn Care/Snow Removal/Contracts)**

**GENERAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- Uphold Fresh Start mission, vision and values.
- Support the current goals and objectives of the Corporation.
- Support and uphold Board of Director approved policies and procedures.
- Attend board, staff, member, and committee meetings and events as required.
- Attend community meetings, conventions, information and training sessions, and conferences as required.
- Encourage and support the participation of all employees in the running of the organization.
- Encourage and maintain a supportive work environment.
- Maintain a required level of technological/mechanical expertise to fulfill the job requirements.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the corporate instructional manuals which include but not limited to the Supervisor, Cleaner, Training, and Hazardous Sites Manuals, and be able to share this information with the General Employees.
- To strategize with the Executive Director on how the corporation can best grow, diversify, and meet organizational goals and objectives.
- To report to the Customer Relations Coordinator regarding all site activity specifically changes or alterations to site specifications, customer compliments and/or complaints.
- To report to the Human Resources Coordinator all employee related issues and concerns except with respect to administrative staff whereby these matters are to be brought to the attention of the Executive Director.
- To report to the Administrative Assistant & Scheduling Manager regarding all scheduling requests and changes.
- To help or fill-in for other supervisory staff as required.
- Other duties as required.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS**:

- To ensure that all contract responsibilities are met including security, training, health and safety, and cleaning obligations.
- To perform the duties and expectations of the site specifications as an active extreme, one-off, snow-removal, lawn care, and/or contract cleaning participant at all times.
- To ensure that health and safety standards are met in all aspects of the job, including assuring that all General Employees have appropriate health and safety equipment, and are using such as indicated by policy in a proper and safe fashion at all times.
- To assist in maintaining an inventory system including timely supply management, ordering of supplies and equipment, detailed inventory every three (3) months and equipment repair and tune-ups.
- To liaise professionally with clients, community workers, and their clients utilizing exceptional communication, interpersonal and leadership skills at all times.
- To participate in hiring, training, and the evaluations of General Employees as required.
- To have a valid driver’s license in Ontario class “G” or higher, not under suspension.
- To ensure Integrated Pest Management controls are in place at job sites requiring such techniques & practices.
- To be knowledgeable and proficient in equipment use, safety, and maintenance specifically snow, lawn, floor and carpet/steam care equipment.
- To facilitate seasonal transfers of necessary equipment & supplies, such as transition from snow to lawn care.
- To report injury to the Finance Administrator and assist in completion of W.S.I.B. reports as necessary.
- To ensure all paperwork necessary for job reporting and inventory management is recorded and submitted in a timely fashion.

**Job Requirements**:

- Must be a person who is personally dealing with or has dealt with severe mental health issues.
- Has a valid “G” Ontario driver’s license.
- Can perform repetitive task, such as bending, stretching, climbing stairs and is able to lift
