We're looking for a passionate Registered Early Childhood Educator, Child & Youth Worker, or Teacher for the role of Before & After School Program Professional. Our programs operate in the early morning or late afternoon, and serve students who are between 4-12 years of age.

The position involve an **afternoon or** **split-shift**, with **part-time hours** between 16 - 25 hours per week and a commitment from **Monday to Friday**.

**Program Location & Shift Timing**

The **After School program** is inside Robert J Lee PS (160 Mountainash Rd, Brampton, ON L6R 1J1)
- Duration: 3 month vacation coverage (Apr - Jun) with possibility for extension
- Program timing is 2:15 - 5:30 pm
- Weekly hours: 16.25

**Position Description**

We're seeking a nurturing and creative RECE or Educator with 2+ years experience to lead **Before / After School Programs** inside public schools in **north-east Brampton**. The individual will co-lead the delivery of a kindergarten or school-age program, and support the daily operation of the site. Experience working with students between 4-12 years of age, working with students with special needs, and knowledge of HDLH?, are definite assets.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide a high quality Before & After School Program by offering a safe, warm and caring environment
- Interact with children to enhance their participation in activities and the development of their self-regulation and problem solving skills
- Plan, develop, and implement stimulating activities that reflect current interests of students in the program

**Qualifications**
- Registration in good standing with the Ontario College of Early Childhood Educators, Ontario College of Teachers, or completion of a Child and Youth Worker Program
- 2+ years of teaching experience with kindergarten and school-age students
- Proven teaching ability including strong program planning and delivery skills, and the ability to manage a classroom
- Energetic and flexible approach to work
- Positive and sensitive attitude towards students, families, and colleagues
- Fluency in French or Spanish, or an aptitude in the performance arts are assets
- Current vulnerable sector criminal reference check, immunization record, TB test, CPR & first aid certification

**Hours and Contract Duration**
- Morning hours: Monday to Friday, ~ 1.5 hours per day (eg. 7 - 8:30 am)
- Afternoon hours: Monday to Friday, ~3 hours per day (eg. 2:15 - 5:30 pm or 3:15 - 5:45)
- Contract is for the 2022-2023 school year, with opportunity for contract extension and additional hours (eg. PA Days; school holidays - winter, spring, summer; or supporting toddler/preschool programs)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour
