**ABOUT COMMUNITY FUTURES AND SOFII**:
Community Futures Western Ontario (CFWO) is a not-for-profit, community driven association. Through our 21 Community Futures members located across rural western Ontario we support business development and growth. CFWO is the voice that advocates of behalf of all members to various stakeholders and is also responsible for the management of the Southern Ontario Fund for Investment in Innovation (SOFII). SOFII is a loan fund focused on supporting innovation and economic growth in Southern Ontario. SOFII provides financing to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) across multiple industries, to assist in developing and commercializing innovative products and services.

**LOANS ANALYST RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Take ownership of and manage loan files independently, and as part of a team responsible for the overall SOFII loan fund portfolio, including the ability to manage a loan file completely from beginning to end.
- Responsible for all loan files worked on, including maintenance and monitoring for potential issues that may arise and communicating to the team.
- Review of business plan
- Credit checks, including review of Equifax reports
- Reference checks
- Personal Net Worth analysis
- Personal Property Security Act (PPSA) searches
- Title searches, if needed
- Historical financial statement analysis, including calculations of credit spreads and ratios
- CRA, HST enquiries
- Other third-party verifications
- Conduct due diligence and site visits, attend conferences and events as may be required.
- Use loan management system to input borrower information, review loan details, prepare amortization schedules, prepare reports, and general loan administration.
- Synthesize collected information about an applicant’s company, industry, financial standing and credit risk and prepare credit submission for loan committee.
- Prepare for and attend loan committee meetings, present potential loans, speak to the risk of the loan and borrower, answer questions and be the key contact for each loan presented.
- Undertake due diligence in the form of financial statement analysis, business plan analysis, loan analysis and investigation, credit checks, for the purpose of creating loan submissions to the Loan Committee.
- Work with existing borrowers to understand and analyze potential impact of proposed borrower financings, deferral requests or other consent requests, including review of:
- lender term sheets
- subordination agreements
- priority agreements
- standstill agreements
- postponement agreements
- Understand risk profiles of borrowers and make recommendations for security and terms of loans in context of risk profile of SOFII loan fund and assist in managing delinquent accounts, defaults and bankruptcies.
- Prepare Offer to Finance letters and other loan documents.
- Manage relationships with team members, borrowers, lawyers, acountants, other lenders, investors (referral network) and other third parties, as needed.
- Such other duties as may be assigned by the Director, SOFII or Executive Director, and as may be required from time to time as a team member employed by the Western Ontario Development Corporation Association.
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Prefer minimum two years experience in business loan management, including familiarity with Personal Property Security Act and security documents, including general security agreement.
- Experience in financial analysis, including fluency with financial statements.
- Comfortable with public speaking and ability to interact with borrowers, loan committee members and other third parties.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team while consistently presenting a mature, professional attitude and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills, common sense, sound judgment and strict confidentiality.
