Food Production Prep Supervisor

**Shift Information**:
**Time: 2pm-1am (Open Availablity required including weekends)**
**Schedule: 4 shifts per week**
**Responsibilities & Duties**
- Plan and allocate daily prep requirements effectively to Prep Team members
- Assist team with Prep Work and Cooking as required
- Ensure Prep is accurate, complete, and according to standards
- Supervise Prep team and serve as positive role model
- Establish and maintain efficient operating practices
- Monitor and maintain all aspects of our enhanced food safety program and ensure accuracy when recording daily records
- Evaluate Prep Team staff performance and make recommendations as required (i.e. recommendations for corrective action, training, etc.)
- Accountable for Prep Team achieving standards of food safety, cleanliness, productivity, uniform, grooming, organization, food quality, and consistency.
- Participate in and contribute to Management and Team Leader meetings.
- Participate in new menu launches/changes, client audits, and training of team members.
- Provide training and coaching on Prep positions, systems, and use of equipment.
- Support ongoing development of all Prep team members.
- Ensures high level of cleanliness and repair of the kitchen and reports all deficiencies to the Plant Manager.
- Ensures that all items assembled and prepared are of the best quality and presentation according to our clients’ spec and expectations
- Work in a safe manner and ensure all production staff adhere to safety standards, policies, and procedures, and enforce through counselling, guidance, and corrective action
- Must be able to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Other duties as required
**Qualifications**
- Prior supervisory role in culinary, production, banquet or restaurant environment required
- Good culinary and knife skills required
- Strong attention to detail and positive work ethic
- Team player
**Working Conditions/Physical Requirements**
- Working within established time standards and strict deadlines to finish tasks in a timely manner
- Working long periods walking, standing, bending, and stooping
- Lifting, pushing, and pulling weight up to 30 or more pounds
- Working in a temperature-controlled environment of below 4°
- Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Functional level of speaking, reading and writing in English required
- Able to work long periods of while standing, bending, reaching, stooping
