EnQuest Energy Solutions is hiring for the position of Heavy Equipment Technician (HET). The HET is required to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of oil and gas service equipment. Work assignments will be received in the form of oral or written work orders, but the employee is expected to determine the nature and extent of needed replacement and repairs.

Job Duties
- Repair and adjust hydraulic pumps, safety valves, and any other necessary mechanical components
- Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
- Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
- Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimeter tolerance)
- Perform predictive and operational maintenance by repairing, or replacing defective parts when necessary.
- Service and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls
- May do some tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts
- Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless customer service
- Diagnose defects in equipment.
- Perform mechanical repairs on equipment in the shop
- Installation of new and added-on equipment
- Electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Accurate completion of work orders and time cards
- Repair cooling, and lubrication systems
- Repair cable-operated working attachments, winches, compressors, pumps, electric generators, etc.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance
- Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
- Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances
- Maintain a clean and Safe Work Environment.
- Communicate any unsafe conditions or accidents/injuries in a timely manner to the supervisor in order to facilitate prompt correction or reporting
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology and repair techniques
- Other mechanical repair work as required

**Requirements**:

- HET Designation within the Province of Alberta as a Journeyman or Red Seal.
- CVIP License an asset.
- Proven mechanical abilities in hydraulics and electrical, including schematics and diagnostics
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operation.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $21.40-$44.43 per hour
