**True North Sports + Entertainment is looking for a creative and community-driven individual to join our Community Relations team.**

Reporting to the Director, Community Relations, the 18-month term position of, **Coordinator, Multicultural Initiatives** will be responsible for overseeing the Winnipeg Jets’ Multicultural Heritage Nights, and work towards developing and managing a brand-new Ball Hockey program. Using our sport to grow diversity and inclusion within our community.

What to be excited for in this role: *

Responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing and communications strategies and tactics to drive fan engagement within True North Sports + Entertainment’s multicultural affinity groups/strategic segments.
- Responsible for the management and execution of multicultural marketing strategy across the TNSE brands.
- Assists with the development of various content ideas and publishing partnerships to attract multicultural hockey fans.
- Strategizes and gleans insights from data to make recommendations that inform future marketing initiatives to drive year over year growth of the multicultural fanbase.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Game Day management teams to gather creative asset specs for amplification and syndication of multicultural marketing campaigns.
- Responsible for the oversight of the daily functions and operations of the Community and Hockey programs including ball hockey.
- Works collaboratively with other members of the department to strategically integrate Ball Hockey with other community and hockey initiatives.
- Continuously explores and creates new revenue generating hockey events and programs.
- Plans and supervises ball hockey tournaments and tournament series for both adult and youth hockey.
- Fosters relationships with community partners and schools to ensure continuous growth of external programs.
- Assists in developing program materials.
- Assists with training staff and refining curriculum to ensure consistent and high-quality results.
- Participates in planning meetings, attends off-site events, and conducts regular visits with team partners.
- Other duties as assigned.

What we need from you: *

Bachelor’s degree (marketing or sports management administration)
- 3-5 years prior relevant work experience.
- Strong integrated marketing experience, including digital and mobile; social media and/or communications experience an asset.
- Strong project management and organization skills, with a proven track record of consistently delivering projects on time within budget and with a high level of quality.
- Superior skills in the use of pc-based tools (Microsoft Office suite of products - spreadsheet, word processing, databases).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced professional sports environment and are known as being detail and solutions-oriented.
- Ability to build trusting and respectful relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Experience building effective and innovative solutions that generate measurable business results.
- Ability to work autonomously with a mínimal amount of supervision, and to excel in an entrepreneurial, self-starting, and fast paced environment.
- Demonstrated proactive personality.
- A genuine passion for diversity and inclusion and working with diverse communities and cultures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the general public.
- Bilingualism is an asset (English and French).
- Working knowledge of additional languages (Tagalog, Punjabi, Mandarin, etc.), is also an asset.
- Must be flexible and willing to work extended and sometimes unpredictable hours on weekdays, evenings, weekends, and occasionally holidays, as required.
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation.*
