The Business Analyst will partner with the Project Manager and is responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements and then ensuring that the deliverables produced conform to the business requirements. Beyond the facilitation of the up-front business requirements and system requirements gathering sessions and resulting documentation, the role also involves driving the user acceptance testing process, including preparation of acceptance criteria, review of the test plans and scenarios, review of test results as well as taking responsibility for end to end quality control.**What you will do?**
- Develops a strong understanding of the business operations in a domain
- Prioritize and rank stakeholder requirements and progressively elaborate the ideal solution through analysis, process mapping, conceptual data modelling, and other requirements gathering techniques
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources in order to reconcile conflicts, move from abstract high level to lowest levels of detail, distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs, and help to generate alternative and creative solutions to business needs
- Actively seek the identification of project issues and problems, and manage or escalate as appropriate
- Produce various project documents and project deliverables including business requirements documents (functional and non-functional requirements), business process flows, use cases, and requirements traceability documents
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to further define solutions and project vision for new opportunities
- Work with IT Team and Subject Matter Experts to facilitate creation of solution architecture artifacts, participate in new process design, and contribute to solutions prototyping.
- Identifies business rules requirements and acceptance criteria
- Collaborates on the development of Test Strategies and Plan(s)
- Drives the creation of user acceptance test cases and manages User Acceptance Test execution and approval
- Conduct functional and full-system testing of new systems and changes
- Partners with the stakeholders to help drive user adoption of the solution.
- Train client users
- Identify project implications at the system and department/organization level as well as interdependencies with other related projects
- Assist with the development of RFQ’s, RFP’s, statements of work, project charters, etc.
- Creates presentations for senior management that clearly and concisely presents analysis and recommendations
- Other duties as required

**What do you need to succeed?**
- University or College graduate in a related discipline or equivalent
- Business Analysis designation required e.g. CBAP, CCBA
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a business analyst in full life-cycle of systems: requirements definition, development, testing, training, problem resolution
- Exceptional analytical skills with a keen attention to detail; well versed in the decomposition and validation of business requirements, use case and workflow analysis, process analysis including “to be” and “future state” analysis and documentation, functional design, gap analysis, proactive risk assessment, and issue management
- Proficient with business process modelling, business process design and reengineering
- Experience creating business requirements documents, process flow maps, cost-benefit analysis, and business cases
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and executing comprehensive quality assurance and end user training plans in preparation for operational readiness
- Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to successfully deal with complex issues working within the context of cross-functional project teams
- Superior oral and written communication
