Machinist

We are looking for a **Machinist** to join our Maintenance team. **This is a full-time, permanent position**.

**Shift: Tuesday to Friday, 6:00am to 4:30pm**

**In this role, you will be responsible to**:

- Manufacture, repair, install, and adjust plant equipment, fixtures, tooling, and components
- Understand metallurgy as relating to the manufacturing industry
- Assist in design and development of fixtures, tooling, components, and equipment
- Make alterations to fixtures, tooling, and components to ensure desired results
- Update drawings and prints to reflect actual conditions
- Diagnose and accurately repair equipment and tooling
- Keep production and maintenance staff informed of equipment status and condition
- Implement equipment improvements
- Fabricate and assemble machine components
- Assist in the design of machine controls

**You will bring**:

- Certified Machinist with an inter-provincial ticket
- Proficient in the fabrication of machine components
- Results oriented
- Ability to work in a time pressured environment
- Basic understanding of electricity and control systems
- Training in installation, repair, and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to understand and read drawings/blueprints
- Effective written and oral communication skills, in English
- Computer literate

**The following will be considered assets**:

- Tool and die maker certification
- Experience in assembly of hydraulic and pneumatic control systems
- Welding experience
