**Job Description**:
**PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Welcome guests into the restaurant and ensure a positive first impression.
- Work with front of house team, especially the host team, to ensure that all points of service are executed and that guests receive impeccable service at all times.
- Lead the team through key services which include, but are not limited to, dinner services.
- Create and maintain an NB/guest profile system and share guest information with all staff.
- Successfully handle guest complaints and respond to OpenTable comments.
- Answer the phone and efficiently work phone and reservation systems.
- Has comprehensive knowledge of our menu and wine list and is able to describe all dishes to our guests and suggest suitable wine pairings.
- Communicate reservations, special requests and expected volume & business to other managers and chefs.
- Liaise with Muir Hotel team to ensure seamless experience for all hotel guests.
- Ensure that each service meets the Forbes 5-Star standards for customer service.

**Qualifications**:

- A degree/diploma in hospitality or in pursuit of desirable
- 3-5 years working experience in a similar role or restaurant management experience
- Strong knowledge of OpenTable Reservation system
- Work well under pressure; ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Self-starter, flexible, and able to work independently
- Strong organizational, communication & leadership skills
- Excellent food and beverage menu knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional telephone etiquette
- Superior customer service skills in addition to impeccable personal presentation required
