Legal Public School includes grades from Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5. The school is located at 5109-46 Street in Legal, Alberta.
**FTE**: 0.5 FTE; 16.25 hrs/week; 8:30 - 11:30 am, Monday to Friday
**Duties**: Under the direction of the classroom teacher, the Educational Assistant will assist the teacher in a Kindergarten/Grade 1/2 Split supporting numerous students
**Qualifications & Experience**: Educational Assistant or Early Childhood Diploma or Certificate is required; CPR and First Aid are desirable. Experience working with students who have difficultly managing emotional responses to frustration. Preference given to applicants with positive behaviour supports and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training. Understanding how to utilize PODD to support students would be an asset. Equivalencies that consist of a combination of education, knowledge, skills and abilities to formal education requirements may be considered.
**Hourly Rate**: $18.82 - $23.57 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
