Bruin Instruments. founded in 1990, is recognized as a leading manufacturer of pneumatic and electric metering pumps for the global oil and gas market.

If you are a skilled CNC Machinist/ Machine operator looking for an opportunity to grow, Bruin has an exciting opportunity for you based in Edmonton, Alberta. This role will be responsible for the precision machining of parts for Bruin Instruments manufacturing facility.

AS A MACHINIST, YOU WILL:

- Be responsible for personal safety and for the safety of others. Must maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
- Set-up, indicate, and machine raw material (bar stock, forgings, and castings) to manufacture Bruin

Pump parts to OEM print dimensions.
- Cross-train on all machines to prevent lapse in production flow including but not limited to CNC

Lathes, CNC Mills, manual mill, Manual Lathe, horizontal bandsaws, and other manual tools
- Read and interpret engineered drawings, maintain tolerance and finishes as required by drawing specifications.
- Able to set and adjust work/tool offsets with mínimal supervision.
- Work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must understand material hardness, cutting tools, speeds and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.
- Adherence to all safety, quality, and environmental rules and regulations.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- 2 years of shop experience running CNC mills or Lathes (Machinist or Machine Operator)
- Haas CNC Experience is an asset
- Forklift experience
- Operation of multiple machines
- Maintenance/ Upkeep of machines
- Ability to read/ use basic measuri ng tools (i.e Mics,calipers, depth mic)

Schedule

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm (Possibility of Overtime-pay)

**Wage will be based off experience**

**Salary**: **Entry Level ** **$22.00-24.00**
