Work Shift:
**Job Description**:
As the Electrical Assembler you will be responsible for following blueprints and manufacturing information to assemble and mount electrical components within ELS’s products. This position will work under the supervision of the Electrical Resource Manager and Associate Supervisor, Electrical and be relied upon to use their knowledge and expertise of electrical systems to ensure ELS’s products meet customers specs.

Role #1: Electrical Assembler

**Responsibilities**:

- Assemble and mount electrical, mechanical, and sub-assembly components onto pan, into enclosures, structures etc. by following standard layouts.
- Time manages daily activities to meet required deadlines of job order combined with verbal collaboration with Associate Supervisor, including following prints, diagrams, and manufacturing information sheets.
- Wire electrical products with basic/standard options as required by following customer drawing packages and schematics.
- Wire electrical products while a following drawing packages and schematics under the direction of a more experienced Electrical Assembler or Technician.
- Occasionally work under the direction of other experienced Electrical Assembler’s, and assist other employees as required.
- Check for functionality by performing continuity checks.
- Support inventory maintenance by performing cycle counts, following standard materials management procedures.
- Communicate with the Associate Supervisor and other assembly personnel in order to solve issues.
- Observe safe working practices and maintain a clean and orderly work area.
- Accurately complete checklists as required to meet deadlines.
- Perform all job functions with adherence to ELS's Philosophy and Values as well as the Safety and Environmental standards
- Demonstrates workmanship, organizational skills, repeatability in all tasks given.

Role #2: Other Duties

**Responsibilities**:

- Use your knowledge of the standard practices, tools, and terminology to completed related assembly work.
- Use specified tools to measure tolerances and torque values when building sub assembly.
- In addition to the responsibilities listed above, employees are also expected to complete other duties as required. Dependent on business needs, percent of work may change as needed. All employees are expected to have familiarized themselves with the Health & Safety and Human Resources manuals, including their responsibilities as outlined in each._
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience with electrical assembly or related experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience with electrical troubleshooting, material handling equipment and manufacturing an asset.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and understand technical data.
- Previous experience working in elevated areas.
- Competent with hand tools and torque wrenches and screwdrivers. Able to drill and tap holes in steel backplanes.
- Basic knowledge of mechanical, and safety procedures of a manufacturing facility.
- Various safety training, such as, working at heights, Scissor Lift, Forklift, Rigging and others, current license an asset.
- Able to efficiently operate a smartphone.

Working Conditions:

- Works in office and manufacturing facility with flexibility for travel to off-site meetings
- Usually works a standard forty-four (44) hour work week.
- May be required to work some overtime hours to attend meetings or meet organizational needs.
