Duties and Responsibilities:

- Coordinate and give input to team lead in planning the schedule for Deli Department Team Members.?
- Train in ordering Deli & Cheese items as required.???
- Maintain and evaluate records of stock,?sales,?and wastage.?
- Ensure that Sunterra’s food quality and service standards are met.???
- Maintain records of inventory, monitor?revenues,?and make suggestions for procedures and price changes.???
- Assist and support the Deli Team Lead with all departmental functions.?
- Follow through on all customer questions and requests.?
- Clean, peel, slice and trim meat and cheese using manual, or electric appliances where appropriate.
- Portion, weigh, and package food for customers to take out.
- Understand hazards and follow safety procedures when working with slicing equipment.
- Prepare food such as sandwiches, boxed salads, deli salads etc.
- Stock refrigerators and displays and keep accurate records of the quantities of food used by utilizing prep charts.
- Vast product knowledge for customer inquiries.
- Keep all cases and shelves clean, well-stocked and properly rotated.?
- Follow established food safety,?cleaning,?and maintenance procedures.?
- Maintain accurate retail pricing and signage.?
- Oversee sampling of department products to customers.?
- Be aware of new products and their placement.?
- Perform other duties as assigned by?the Market Managers?
- Available for night and weekends.

Working Conditions
- Some exposure to temperature variations and wet conditions.
- May walk and work on uneven surfaces.
- Requires some reaching above and below shoulder height.
- Repetitive use of hands with power grasping and fine manipulation.
- May need to use a ladder or stool to reach product or supplies.
- Some exposure to continuous background and occasional loud noises.
- Repetitive stretching and lifting required.
- Items over 40 pounds require a team lift.

Qualifications:
Skills & Knowledge
- Team player and believer of “it’s your business”, enthusiastic.
- Excellent merchandiser.
- Knowledge and experience with inventories, statements, margin and labor controls.
- Passion for fresh foods.
- Customer service orientated, and likes to create great experiences.
- Self-motivated and problem solver.
- Math skills.

Educational Requirements
- Some supervisory experience is an asset
