Job Summary:
BMF is looking to add a Woodshop Associate to our team This role is responsible for building store fixtures and displays for locations across North America. You will work on projects with many new and different materials and designs that will keep the work interesting. In this role, experience working with woodshop machinery such as table saws, edge banders and various hand tools is necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Receive Vendor Product into BMF stock with accurate counts and in designated SKU locations within 24 hours of arrival.
- Participate in weekly Inventory Counts of specified products to maintain inventory integrity
- Read shop drawings and create cut lists
- Read and interpret instructions and assembly drawings (JIF) in order to assemble, build and finish fixtures and displays with different materials and designs, including custom work
- Demonstrate sound knowledge and safe operation of various saws, hand tools, power tools
- Proficiency in working with multiple media (wood, melamine, steel, acrylic primarily)
- Build a broad range of custom cabinetry and displays with multiple materials accordance with assembly drawings
- Maintain accurate daily records of material usage for each project
- Maintain accurate daily timesheets for each job(s) performed
- Adhere to 5S practices - sustain / shine / sort / set in order/ standardize
- Execute Quality work in finished product
- Maintain tools and equipment daily and report any equipment or tools in need of maintenance or repair to Wood Shop Manager
- Perform various clean-up and housekeeping activities to maintain a lean, safe and organized work bench/space daily, and with items placed in designated locations and the floor
- Uphold requirement that Forklift and other specialized equipment are operated safely by designated and certified employees only
- Provide feedback on existing policies, procedures, and efficiency improvement suggestions
- Understand and integrate all safety rules and procedures into daily operations and safe work practices, including wearing required personal safety equipment
- Be familiar with the Health and Safety Act, and report all accidents and incidents to Wood Shop Manager
- Other duties and activities as assigned by management

Job Qualifications/ Requirements:

- 1+ years experience working with woodshop machinery such as table saws, edge banders and various hand tools is necessary
- Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship
- A Proven ability to read and interpret drawings, instructions and assembly drawings (JIF) in order to assemble, build and finish fixtures and displays with different materials and designs, including custom work
- A self-starter who can work independently with mínimal supervision while collaborating with team members
- Proven experience following Health and Safety procedures and protocols

Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
