**Laboratory Technician - Job Description**

**Minimum educational qualifications and technical knowledge**

The minimum educational and professional qualifications that the Laboratory Technician must have,
- Basic knowledge on water treatment / testing
- Diploma / Degree related to environmental science, Chemical engineering, or relevant field
- Knowledge / experience on conducting water testing onsite & in a laboratory environment
- Knowledge on database management, MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and spreadsheets

- Working knowledge of MS Office and Database management systems
- Analytical skills and attention to detail

**Responsibilities**
- Create / follow up laboratory testing schedules - Daily
- Receive, label, storing & record maintaining of samples
- Educate customers and Technicians on sample collection and sample handling procedures & ensure proper sample handling procedure
- Calibrate instruments/ laboratory equipment periodically and maintain records
- Organize & store all chemicals, lab equipment and other materials
- Execute laboratory testing process / Perform Testing following the standards and guidelines given and share test results with observations, findings, and opinions
- Record data and data analyzing through the system with accuracy and responsibility
- Timely communication with customers & Technicians, managers, and other related staff at PWT, follow up with customer feedback/ complaints
- Timely completion of training activities recommended
- Ensure the availability of materials and equipment needed, placing orders for replenishments or any new material requirements after obtaining the approval from management
- Ensure to follow safety guidelines, maintain required environmental conditions, and maintain clean and orderly environment in the laboratory

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Supplemental pay types:
