As the Sales Operations Manager you will play a crucial role in the sales organization of Canada Tire. This position is primarily focused on optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the sales process, as well as the flow of information to the team to enable informed efficient decision making.
Key responsibilities and aspects of this role include:
- **Sales Planning**: You will be responsible for working with the Director of Sales and regional team leaders to develop and implement sales strategies and plans to meet the company's targets. This might involve setting tactical sales goals, identifying target markets, and evaluating the best strategies for growth.
- **Process Optimization**: Critical to this role is streamlining and enhancing sales processes. This includes identifying bottlenecks in processes, implementing new technologies or systems to improve efficiency, and ensuring that sales operations run smoothly through supporting the sales cycle.
- **Data Analysis and Reporting**: Be responsible for data analysis to support the tracking of sales performance and generate insights. You will be responsible for monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), analyzing sales data, and preparing reports and feedback for the Director of Sales and management team that aid in decision-making.
- **Technology Management**: Managing customer relationship management (CRM) system and ensuring that the sales team is effectively utilizing technology is another key aspect. This can include contributing to the training and development of the sales team, ensuring that team members have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively work within the system and perform their duties.
- **Collaboration and Communication**: Within this role, you will often act as a bridge between the sales team and other departments, such as marketing, finance, customer service and operations, to ensure alignment of objectives and open follow up items.
- **Forecasting and Budgeting**: There will be opportunity to be involved with and support the sales forecasting and budgeting process with analysis and data driven insights. This includes the tracking of key metrics and ensuring that our sales team operates within the provided allowance set by Canada Tire.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, and/or experience in a related field.
- Proven experience, preferably in the wholesale distribution industry with a focus on tires/automotive.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- French and English bilingual required.
- Proficiency in sales software, CRM tools, and data analysis.
