Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the Production Supervisor motivates the production team to ensure we’re consistently completing assigned tasks safely and efficiently.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Leads & develops production line employees and keeps plant manager informed of key activities or issues.
- Ensures quality workmanship and all safety procedures are followed (glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes, etc)
- Conducts morning production huddles with staff daily and assists production team as needed to ensure flow remains balanced and efficient.
- Organizes inventory storage & participates with inventory counts & management tasks with Plant Manager.
- Enter, track, and assist documenting production processes and/or engineering updates.
- Looks for and communicates potential improvements to maintain BOM accuracy, and with production schedule to meet production target completion dates.
- Liaise with Sales, Project Management, & Purchasing where there are potential errors and/or opportunities for improved forecasting, scheduling, & manufacturing methods.
- Recommends changes that will improve plant efficiency and safety, leads improvement projects as required.
- Assists with clean-up and manages cleanliness in all work areas.
- Ensures awareness of maintenance schedules and the completion of necessary work to equipment.
- Submits daily records to supervisor as needed and/or as required for regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Demonstrated strong leadership skills and a positive “can-do” outlook.
- Mechanically inclined with experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Proven problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
- Effective with planning, prioritizing & delegating tasks to team members.
- Able to work on several projects at different levels of priority with multiple deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within and outside one's own work group.
- Experience with safety & quality control processes.
- Understanding of manufacturing BOMs, part numbers, routings, and production ERP systems.
- Certified welder credentials are a benefit.
- Knowledge of DelmiaWorks IQMS or similar manufacturing ERP systems is beneficial.
- Fluent with MS Office platforms.

**SAFETY & ENVIRONMENT**
- High noise levels (hearing protection required)
- Periodic dusty & smoky air.
- Periodic crowded areas.
- Fast-paced work environment.
- Requires steel toed footwear, hearing protection, safety glasses
- Stay current with all WHIMIS, MSDS sheets as well as Safe Work procedures.
- Identify & report any unsafe working conditions to supervisor immediately.

**HOURS OF WORK**

Monday-Thursday: 4 -10 Hour days per week. Variations and O.T. as intermittently required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $30.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
