Camp Counselor

Overview:
Join our team as a STEM Camp Counselor and make a positive impact on children's lives this summer. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about working with children in an outdoor camp setting.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and engage campers in various activities and games
- Plan and lead educational and recreational activities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers
- Provide guidance, support, and positive reinforcement to campers
- Collaborate with fellow counselors to create a fun and inclusive environment
- Communicate effectively with campers, parents, and staff

Qualifications:

- Previous experience working with children or in a camp setting is preferred
- Knowledge or background in early childhood education is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Enthusiastic, energetic, and patient demeanor
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Standard First Aid CPR C and Police Vulnerable Sector Check
- Having access to a personal vehicle for commuting to the camp locations ( Richmond Hill, Aurora, Newmarket)

**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

Pay: $17.50-$19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 40 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
