**The Opportunity**:
The **Cook** role will be serving the community of **Athens Creek Retirement Lodge** in **Penticton, British Columbia** This role is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with an elevated level of focus in time management and hospitality.

Full time with Availability Days, Weekends, Evenings, Nights: Saturday-Wednesday 10am-6:30pm

- Strong time management skills
- Supporting the Food Services Supervisor in supervising/managing the activities of the food services team and facilitating effective two-way communication
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills, and ability to calmly deal effectively with difficult or crisis situations
- Ongoing monitoring and continuous quality improvement
- Demonstrates an awareness of accident and injury prevention and adheres to safe work practices. Is mindful of the psychological health and safety of our employee care partners
- Auditing and collecting ongoing resident/family feedback. Including but not limited to the Resident Food Services committee
- Ensuring adequate & competent care partners are available to provide the food services that are required within the Community
- Supporting the Food Services Supervisor in coordinating & overseeing care partner planning and service time scheduling as per budget guidelines, including overtime and time off approval and vacation requests
- Attending and actively participating on various committees/meetings providing advice/ input
- Performs other services/tasks/duties related to Employee Care Partner role as assigned

**Skills and key deliverables that will take you further**:

- Food Safe Certificate is required
- Must hold valid Standard First Aid and CPR certificate
- Obtain prior to employment, a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector check
