We are looking for a Maintenance Operator at our Walker NVIRO Biosolids Facility in Halifax, NS. This is a permanent, full time position. The starting rate is $25.44/hour, graduating to $27.52/hour over the course of time.

**Responsibilities**:

- Participate in compliance monitoring.
- Perform daily data entry.
- Operate and maintain process equipment.
- Ensure all regular/preventative maintenance is performed and documented.
- Maintain inventory of tools, replacement parts and supplies.
- Document daily processing parameters.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and organization.

**Requirements**:

- Heavy Equipment experience preferred
- (i.e. wheel loader)
- Grade 12 graduate with some post-secondary training preferred.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- Work in a rotating shift schedule with evenings and weekend work.
- Be able to work alone occasionally.
- Ability to work in small teams.
- Have a mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot process and equipment issues.
- Perform light preventative maintenance duties and support Lead Hand with larger repairs.
- Familiarity with analytical sampling methods for environmental compliance monitoring.
