Job purpose

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for the analysis of sales data and inventory for the category.

duties and responsibilities

The Inventory Analyst is responsible for:
♪ Generating reports and analysis to identify inventory opportunities, partnering with both internal and external parties to secure orders, and monitor the flow of inventory

♪ Working closely with the Purchasing department, the Inventory Analyst will implement best practices and exception reporting to maximize POS and maintain healthy in stocks

♪ Reviewing weekly in-stocks and provide analysis to identify inventory opportunities as they relate to in stocks, events, and POS potential

♪ Ensuring proper amount of POs are in the system at all times;
♪ Acting as the liaison between the Purchasing department and Logistics department to ensure smooth flow of inventory, including the communication of any PO or inventory flow issues;
♪ Timely and accurate reporting of POS and Inventory information to support the Sales staff in their daily activities. Reports could include scorecards, weekly/monthly/annual reports, forecast meeting documents, and ladder plans;
♪ Collaborating internally to ensure pre-planning activities related to inventory needs are completed and to ensure allocation strategies are in alignment with company plans

♪ Analyzing current and historical inventory and sales performance, and make appropriate recommendations by identifying and adjusting replenishment factors

♪ Conducting analysis on sales performance of items to improve and/or adjust future forecasts

♪ Other duties as assigned.

qualifications

Must have:
♪ 2 to 3 years of prior working experience in a retail or wholesale corporate environment as an Inventory Analyst, Replenishment Analyst, Demand Planner, Allocation Analyst, or a similar role is required

♪ Post-secondary degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, or a related field is required

♪ Must possess intermediate/advanced Excel skills

♪ Must possess excellent analytical skills, with a high attention to detail

♪ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

♪ Ability to learn new concepts quickly and share this knowledge with others

♪ Must possess excellent customer service skills

♪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team

♪ Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skillsJob purpose

The Inventory Controller is responsible for maintaining the inventory accuracy throughout all stores and warehouses.

**Responsibilities**:
The Inventory Controller is responsible for:
♪ Investigate and correct inventory discrepancies reported by all stores.

♪ Coordination of cycle counts and physical inventories on a regular basis.

♪ Ensuring inventory in stores is checked monthly for stock expiry and coordinating with appropriate departments as required.

♪ Coordinate stock transfers in combination with purchasing as well as ensuring transfers are received accurately.

♪ Assist with the reporting and inventory reconciliation requirements pertaining to vendor stock returns.

♪ Maintaining consistent item setup within the ERP.

♪ Inventory adjustments for stock discrepancies, damages, theft, and item cost changes.

♪ Monitoring stock levels on a weekly basis and investigating any inconsistencies.

qualifications

Must have:
♪ 1 to 3 years of prior working experience in an Inventory Control role within an office environment is required.

♪ Knowledge of inventory movement, cycle counting, and business systems is required.

♪ Must possess excellent organizational and analytical skills, with a high attention to detail.

♪ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

♪ Ability to learn new concepts quickly.

♪ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

♪ Must possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

♪ Fluent in French, an asset, but not required.
