This is a physical position that requires being on your feet, regular lifting and being able to move at a good pace. It is a mid-level job in a fast-paced environment. The position is with a very busy mattress and furniture recycling facility located on Annacis Island (Delta, BC). We are accessible by transit and also have free parking.

A technically-skilled, physical position requiring attention to detail, diligence, good hand-eye coordination, and an excellent safety record. Responsible for, but not limited to, optimizing unloading and loading to ensure efficiency and safety. Will maintain a high standard of forklift operation history to avoid unnecessarily wasted time or any unfortunate injuries, damages, or costs.

Forklift Operator / Receiver (General Labourer) position. INDOOR work.
- 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Full-time, permanent
- We have a strict Attendance Policy. We are a small company and need all staff to report to work as scheduled.

Responsibilities include:

- Unloading delivery vehicles of mattresses, box springs, and furniture
- Recording incoming shipments and inventory in the CRM software and completing basic documentation related to loads received or sent
- Inspecting and receiving incoming shipments
- Manual re-stacking of delivered items may be required if loads are unstable or otherwise unable to be immediately unloaded and moved by forklift
- Loading outbound shipments of salvaged materials without causing any damage of any kind
- Stacking heavy bales of salvaged materials
- Charging and watering forklift battery, as needed
- Completing forklift inspections and reporting any issues or repairs needed
- Providing customer service to clients
- Keeping work area/ warehouse clean
- Following ALL operating and safety procedures and policies, including wearing a respirator (which we provide)
- Meeting realistic quotas and expectations for the volume of material processed
- Perform First Aid Attendant duties as a member of our FAA Team
- Other appropriate tasks as needed

**Requirements**:

- Have a valid Forklift Operator certificate and a minimum of 1 year of forklift operator experience
- Minimum 1-year Receiving experience in a busy warehouse environment
- OFA Level 1 valid certification and experience is an asset
- Be comfortable working with technology
- Be responsible and detail-oriented
- Able to work in a physically demanding job and be able to lift 70 pounds
- Hard-working, efficient, safety-conscious, and able to work independently
- Honest, punctual, responsible, reliable, and a team player
- Able to understand, speak, read, and write in English
- Due to the private and confidential nature of a First Aid Attendant's role, you may be asked to provide a current criminal record check. We also may do online court record checks.
- References will be required

**When in the warehouse, you will be required to wear a small respirator (which we provide). Must be clean-shaven as per WorkSafeBC requirements.** We provide all other PPE including safety glasses, face shields, gloves, earplugs, and reflective harness/ vest but you must bring your own steel-toed boots.
