**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a compassionate Chaplain to serve our long-term care residents at Evergreen. **This is a temporary, part-time role (3 days a week for 3 months, with the possibility of ending early or being extended). **As a Chaplain, you will play a crucial role in providing spiritual care and emotional support to residents, their families, and team members. This position emphasizes holistic care, blending spiritual guidance with emotional and ethical support in a community-focused environment.
**About The Role**
As the Chaplain at Evergreen, you will offer pastoral care, lead Christian worship services, and facilitate Bible studies and fellowship gatherings. You will support residents in maintaining connections to their faith communities and provide guidance during times of crisis, including end-of-life care, ethical decision-making, and hospital visits. In addition, you will oversee the coordination of spiritual care volunteers in collaboration with the volunteer coordinator, ensuring that all spiritual services are delivered with compassion and sensitivity. The Chaplain will also be responsible for arranging funeral and memorial services and fostering an inclusive, respectful atmosphere that honors diverse religious backgrounds. This role requires a deep commitment to supporting the physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being of all residents at Evergreen.
**Requirements**:
- A Bachelor’s or Graduate degree in Theology, Ministry, or a related field (e.g., M.Div. preferred).
- Completed training in Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) or professional chaplaincy certification is an asset.
- A background in pastoral ministry, particularly with seniors, and understanding of geriatric care.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and conflict resolution skills.
- Alignment with the Baptist Housing Statement of Faith and a commitment to servant leadership.

**Compensation & Benefits**
The salary range for this part-time temporary position is $30.00-$36.76. per hour. You will be welcomed into an environment where support for you is prioritized.
