Reporting directly to the VP, People and Culture, the HR Advisor role provides a broad range of support in employee related functions such as workforce planning, performance management, talent development, recruiting processes etc.

**What the role looks like**:

- Working closely with Senior/Site Management during recruitment planning to establish position requirements, job specifications, qualifications, and skills required for positions.
- Onboard new hires include facilitating the completion of required documentation.
- Assist in the recruitment and selection process, including writing and placing job ads, scheduling, conducting interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting.
- Maintain employee records and documentation, including personnel files, employee records, and employment policies and procedures (i.e. maintaining & updating company HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems)
- Provide information on employee programs, participate and contribute (where required) in execution of programs and HR initiatives
- Other HR related duties as required to support business operations.

**What you bring**:

- Human Resources Diploma or related field
- 3-5 years' relevant work experience in a wide range of human resources management functional areas, including recruiting, compensation planning and administration, employee/labour relations, training and development
- Experience in craft recruiting (i.e. Mechanical Trades, Operators, Mechanics) is considered an asset
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), Human Resource (HRIS) softwares, and MS Office Suite
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to manage workflow, ensure completion of essential projects, and meet deadlines
- A committed team player able to collaborate well with others in a meaningful and impactful manner
- Professionalism, consistency of approach and ability to relate to all levels within the company
