**About Us**:
**Summary**:
**Detailed Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Research technologies and industries to identify opportunities for new product development, in line with the Company’s objectives
- Prepares cost analysis on the development of new products, inclusive of potential market opportunity
- Research patents, and other intellectual property to ensure there are no infringement concerns
- Define performance and qualification requirements for new products
- Performs research, creates proof of concept, and mínimal viable product design
- Lead field verification and validation activities
- Create designs and drawings of new product details and assemblies using Solid Works CAD software
- Work with Supply Chain and Quality teams to identify and qualify supply base
- Support product hand-off to manufacturing and in-field implementation
- Perform ongoing design and technical reviews
- Other engineering-related activities, as required

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Education: BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of related engineering experience
- Possess creativity for product development
- General familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Computer knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Solid Works or similar CAD software
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Project management skills are an asset
- Work well under pressure and under tight timelines
- High level of organizational skills, detail-oriented, and analytical
- Must possess excellent communication skills to collaborate with customers and multiple-disciplinary teams
- An energetic, diligent work ethic and ability to work with little supervision
- Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally, as required
