**What will you do**
The Franchise Quality & Compliance Lead position provides overall Quality Assurance leadership in the management of New Product Introductions (NPI), Projects and Support to R&D Quality and Compliance. The Franchise Quality & Compliance Lead will serve as the end-to-end quality owner of Canadian Consumer Health products with responsibility for product quality and compliance pre-launch and post-launch. This position will represent QA on new product launch task-forces by guiding and setting quality/compliance requirements, development of SOP's & specifications, providing technical transfer/validation support and assistance with R&D Q&C as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Ensures new product launches, reformulated/re-designed products are in compliance with Canadian Regulatory cGMP and J&J Corporate requirements.
- Provide input to Development Plan (DP) for new product introductions and product changes.
- Supports implementation and provides updates to business partners of new policies, standards and guidance for new technologies, new businesses and emerging regulations.
- Provide project teams guidance to build in compliance and ensure quality requirements are met during product development, scale up and validation.
o Review/Approve R&D Lab equipment qualification/validation
o Ownership of Guelph R&D Master Validation Plan
- Participates in product and process risk assessments and highlights potential concerns prior to production or commercialization.
- Collection, evaluation and reporting of Quality metrics for distribution to J&J Canada and J&J Global Quality.
- Support INV/CAPA's by providing input into investigation root cause elimination and corrective actions and recommend actions to prevent repeat occurrence.
- Represents Q&C on task-forces for supply continuity projects.
- Provides leadership to committees and PE projects. Representation of Q&C on committees and projects, including support to R&D projects as the need arises
- Executes activities identified in Change Control documents.
- Facilitates team interaction and fosters team development.
- Provide training/mentoring/expertise to personnel by maintaining open communication and sharing of knowledge.
- Identifies and implements opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement of systems and processes, in order to improve business results.
- Audit Management Lead for Guelph R&D Operation
- Support to the R&D Q&C Guelph Manager with respect to GCC and lab investigation approvals when needed.

Required Qualifications
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Life Sciences, Pharmacy or similar fields
- Minimum of 6 years of GMP experience in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, OTC Drug and/or Cosmetic production.
- Solid understanding of cGMP requirements.
- Problem solver, proactive strategic thinker and cross-functional collaborator
- Ability to influence with colleagues across levels and functions
- Ability to independently plan, organize and complete assigned tasks
- Excellent communicator with outstanding interpersonal skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in SAP
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work in a team-based environment with evolving priorities.
- Strong problem solving, partnering, communication and presentation skills.
