**Project Manager, Feminist Focused One Health Community Partnerships (FFOHCP)**:
Feminist Focused One Health Community Partnerships (FFOHCP) involves team members from Canadian, USA, Uganda, Ethiopia, and Ghana. The ultimate goal is to improve community health and equitable One Health empowerment for poor, marginalized, and Indigenous women and girls in areas with high prevalence of zoonotic and human - animal - environment interface related diseases. The partnership includes students, faculty, women, men, children, domestic and international non-governmental agencies and governments.

**Primary Purpose**:To provide project management expertise to plan partnership activities from the implementation phase to the delivery phase and to ensure the transition is implemented and successfully executed. In addition to project management, the role supports other initiatives as assigned by the Project Director.

**Nature of Work**: This position reports to the Project Director. The Project Manager (PM) will be responsible for providing technical leadership and overall management of the GAC FFOHCP, working closely with and coordinating the Canadian team members. They will provide technical and operations guidance, support monitoring and gender evaluation, and ensure program quality. They will assist with the coordination of the pandemic preparedness exercises. S/he will also ensure effective financial and operational management of the project and work closely with the other project managers from Ghana, Uganda and Ethiopia. They will coordinate the Canadian, USA and interact with a domestic subawardee partner (Veterinarians without Borders). The PM will act as the primary focal point and represent the project to GAC and other key stakeholders in Canada. The PM is ultimately responsible for compliance and the oversight of project activities which will meet the stated objectives of the project. An understanding of gender equality principles, practice and measurement is a strong asset. Previous experience working with GAC is also an asset.

**Accountabilities**:
Programme Implementation and Monitoring
- Lead the implementation of high quality program activities in line with grant agreement and GAC / University of Saskatchewan technical and operational requirements
- Provide project management for the partnership by leading the Canadian Director, and other country project managers through planning, executing, and monitoring of the implementation to delivery transition.
- Ensure that implementation is accelerated and on track in line with approved budget and required quality.
- Ensure that effective monitoring and performance management systems are in place for achieving prior agreed programme activity targets, budget allocations and financial expenditures, ensuring that value for money can be effectively demonstrated to the donor and activities and expenditures are compliant with donor requirements
- In coordination with GAC / University of Saskatchewan, continually reflect on the extent to which implementation of activities and outputs will lead to the achievement of desired outcomes and make necessary adjustments
- Conduct planning meetings with key program awardees, while ensuring adequate planning documents are established and maintained
- Monitor progress of activities against the detailed implementation plan and log frames while evaluating the relevance and appropriateness of the intervention.
- Identify technical and operational program supply needs and coordinate with logistics teams to put in place a sensible phased procurement plan.
- Prepare timely and quality programme and donor reports on project activities in compliance with internal requirements and any relevant external donor requirements.
- Ensure that activities are appropriately planned, that delays and constraints are documented, and solutions identified.
- Ensure programs are adequately resourced and oversee timely expenditure of approved budgets, ensuring appropriate spend and proper and effective use of program resources.
- Communicate with the Canadian Director on the overall progress of implementation, as well as all the key risks and mitigation measures. Timely flag and discuss key challenges, incidents, and divergence from the donor-approved plans.
- Facilitate meetings and discussion groups.
- Oversee the transition implementation including tracking of progress and milestones.
- In collaboration with the management team and Partners, conduct environmental scans, prepare current and future state maps, document policy/process recommendations for change, and draft and coordinate implementation of transition plan.
- Initiate actions required to achieve success, monitor progress between meetings, and assess progress.
- Effectively communicate transition goals, scope and expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
