Bindery Helper

**Job Summary**:
The Bindery Helper will assist the machine operators in the running of various pieces of printing & finishing equipment in our production & bindery departments. They must be reliable, detail-oriented and have the ability to perform repetitive hand work. They must be capable of working efficiently as part of a team to produce on-time commercial print products that meet our high standards.

**Required Qualifications**:
Must be able to:

- perform a variety of tasks in support of the printing and finishing operations
- assist the operators in the performance of their work on varied printing & bindery equipment
- operate printing and binding equipment when required
- bend and lift, perform repetitive tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere as well as stand for extended periods of time
- multitask in addition to working well under pressure
- lift paper and material up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- work well with mínimal supervision and in a team environment
- assist in the general upkeep and maintenance of bindery equipment
- communicate well with management and team members
- work overtime when needed
- legally work in Canada

Must have:

- excellent attention to detail when working on equipment, to be able to recognize and make supervisor aware of any potential quality issues
- strong hand and eye coordination with above average manual dexterity
- safety footwear

Assets:

- Basic knowledge of bindery equipment and printing processes
- Experience operating bindery equipment (cutter, folder, book binder etc.)
- Experience operating commercial Digital printers
- Experience with imposition software (Fiery, Prinect)

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
