**Education and Experience**:

- Minimum High School Diploma
- 2+ years’ experience with animal welfare in a leadership or supervisory capacity

**Qualifications**:

- Certification in animal care or related field is preferred.
- Strong English verbal and written communication.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and works well cross functionally.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform strenuous tasks in various weather conditions.

**Animal Care and Welfare Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and schedule Animal Care Attendants, including assigning tasks and providing guidance as needed.
- Train new employees on proper animal care procedures, safety protocols, and facility policies.
- Coordinate and participate in the daily care routines for all animals, including feeding, grooming, and enrichment activities.
- Monitor the health and behavior of animals, promptly reporting any concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of animal care activities, including preparing and scheduling feed, medical treatments, and behavioral observations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning enclosures, replenishing supplies, and maintaining equipment.
