**Who you are:
We are always looking for amazing talent who can contribute to our growth and deliver results Geotab is seeking an Associate Vice President, Enterprise Audit and Risk who will oversee the internal audit and enterprise risk program function. You will support the business through the completion of risk based internal audits enabling compliance to standard/processes and risk mitigation through the identification of control gaps and associated mitigation activities and manage the enterprise risk program. You will also be responsible for influencing outside of your direct line of control, as well as prioritizing (with risk considerations front of mind) the work of the team on what controls/processes will address the biggest risks. - Oversee the internal audit and enterprise risk programs and through the development of a sound understanding of Geotab's operations, evolve the program to support Geotab's strategic objectives.
- In collaboration with the broader leadership group, build/deploy the enterprise risk management program that is right sized for Geotab and build out the annual audit program based on identified risks to the business. Support and manage the program, providing actionable, concise reporting to the Executive Audit Committee.
- Coach and mentor team members through project/program administration, and on personal skills development.
- Plan, evaluate, and improve the efficiency of audit and risk business processes and procedures to enhance speed, quality, efficiency, and output.
- Monitor the risk mitigation plans proposed by business partners ; provide consultative support to the business to address control gaps.
- Ensure auditability of new procedures and control practices.
- Develop and review dashboards and monitor tools to support audit discovery and monitoring activities.
- Support other compliance programs & projects as assigned.
- Support Geotab global strategic initiatives by understanding international risk profiles and new risks incurred by adding new business models, partners, and operating jurisdictions.
- Oversee the activities and performance of direct reports:

- Provide direction, coaching and mentorship to the team.
- Engage in the development of the team by coaching, providing feedback, identifying areas of growth and training opportunities.
- Collaborate and support employees during the performance management process, meeting KPAs and career development planning.
- Support Geotab global strategic initiatives.

**What you’ll bring to this role**:

- Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma specialization in Finance, Business or a related field.
- 10+years demonstrated and relevant senior level experience leading teams and managing risk.
- 8+ years of experience in audit, compliance, risk management or a similar role.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant), CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) and/or equivalent professional risk-management or audit designation.
- Experience performing risk assessments and road map development/design.
- Expert knowledge of accounting, financial controls, and/or audit standards.
- Experience in leading programs and/or sizable projects.
- Excellent knowledge of risk management fundamentals.
- Experience working within a technical or engineering organization/knowledge of the high-technology industry is an asset.
- Strong project management skills; able to identify needs, develop effective solutions and manage projects through to completion.
- A well-defined sense of diplomacy, including solid negotiation, conflict resolution, and relationship management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including comfort with delivering presentations and training.
