**The Opportunity**

We are currently seeking four **Processing/Chemical Engineers-in-Training (EIT)** to join our Ontario Operations team. These positions will be based in Sudbury and Port Colborne and are all permanent opportunities.

Additionally, in this position you will:

- Follow Vale’s Safety Policy and Legislative Standards
- Develop skills and abilities related to the provision of engineering to Ontario Operations
- Ensure compliance to the applicable regulations, standards and guidelines
- Utilize good engineering practices while minimizing costs
- Provide technical support to enable safe and cost-effective operations
- Monitor process parameters and communicate changes outside normal operational conditions to supervisor
- Maintain a high level of professional conduct
- Complete assigned projects safety and on time. Project work includes sampling, sample preparation, data analysis and reporting.

**About You**

**Education**:
Undergraduate Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. Must be eligible to register as an Engineer in Training with the professional engineering association in Ontario (PEO).

**Experience**:

- A minimum of 0-2 years of related experience is preferred.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Experience with engineering design software such as AutoCAD or Deswik (training will be provided)

- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptability and flexibility
- Strong problem-solving and data analysis skills
- Must have strong organization and time management skills
