**POSITION TITLE**:Junior Installer
**LOCATION**:Schomberg
**REPORTS TO**:Field Tech Supervisor

Vianet provides complete communications solutions throughout Ontario, with a wide range of Internet access services including high speed DSL and Cable Internet, Wireless to rural residents and Fibre to larger enterprises. Vianet constructs its own fixed wireless and Fibre to the Home networks, provides phone service in all its serving areas and television service in selected areas.
**SUMMARY**:
**POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Representing Vianet in a positive and professional manner in the field.
- Driving a company vehicle to help make service calls to a variety of customer sites including residential and business.
- Helping perform installation functions associated with running telecommunication services to the home and business including the addition, modification and removal of all technology equipment, hardware, testing, drilling, and cabling.
- Assisting with service calls to a variety of customer sites on days, afternoons, evenings & weekend shifts.
- Helping with ladder work, bucket truck work and working at heights.
- Assessing and troubleshooting equipment.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers.
**EXPERIENCE / KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED**:
- A fast learner with a keen interest and eagerness to acquire new skills.
- A valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work as there is no public transit available.
- Strong computer skills and technology savvy is an asset.
- Safety conscience - working safely with an awareness and alertness of preventing danger.
- Comfortable working safely at heights, performing ladder, and roof top work.
- Safety Certifications: Working at Heights, Fall Arrest, Ladder & Bucket Training,
WHMIS, First Aid & CPR. (We will provide safety training and certification.)
- Demonstrated interest in performing physical work outdoors.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting of up to 50 pounds independently.
- Regular time & attendance is an essential job function.
- Good people skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Well organized with good time management skills.
- Team player with a positive attitude, good work ethic and ability to work well with others.
- Ability to learn customer service skills, trouble shooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently with mínimal supervision.
- Occasional out of town work may be required.
**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time
**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour
