Carpenter/labourer

**NewRock Developments Inc.** is looking to hire a full-time carpenter / labourer that can learn and grow in the construction industry. This position is based in the Okotoks / Cochrane area and is available to start immediately, or after your completion of notice to current employer. A valid driver’s license, construction experience, and completion of carpentry training are considered assets. Looking for an applicant that is wanting to grow their career, with opportunities to move up to site foreman and possibly site supervisor.

The successful applicant will be working on a variety of projects within the Okotoks / Cochrane area and will be specializing in (but not limited to) wood framed multi-building construction.

**Requirements and Responsibilities**:

- Perform duties on multiple townhome projects in the area
- Physically fit and able to perform construction related duties
- Understanding of drawings and ability to direct/work alongside a small labour team to complete tasks directed by the site supervisor
- Work with site supervisor to ensure safe and clean work environment
- Basic knowledge of local codes and working with trades to ensure all details and code requirements are completed as per drawing
- Proficiency in English
