Maple Lodge Farms is Canada’s largest independently owned poultry processor. It engages in processing and supplying chicken products in Canada and internationally. It offers bacons, deli chicken meats, sliced packaged meats, fresh seasoned chicken, frozen boxed meats, and wieners. Maple Lodge Farms, Ltd. was founded in 1955 and is based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

This position will focus primarily on supporting the HACCP team and will involve the development and maintenance of food safety and quality written programs in order for the company to ensure compliance to regulatory, third-party audit and customer requirements.

**KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES**
- 2. Tasks related to document control and document management including:

- Maintenance of document registers and logbook of changes.
- Initiation of annual document review process with document owners.
- Circulating documents for collection of signatures for document approval.
- Posting of PDF versions of approved documents to FSMS Documentation Drive.
- Change Communication responsibilities which include issuing Change Communications, saving Change Communication records electronically and follow-up with employees that have not completed and/or submitted their Change Communication records.
- Conversion of documents in old format into new document templates (Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions, Forms, Appendices).
- 3. Assistance with record review and/or verification of records during the reassessment of the HACCP Plan and Pre-Requisite Programs.
- 4. Assist with various food safety and quality related projects and food safety validations including data entry and tabulating, and basic graphing.
- 5. Reporting on various metrics as assigned.

**WHAT YOU WILL BRING**
- Knowledge in poultry and meat processing is preferred.
- Must be enrolled in a related program in an accredited post-secondary institution.

**WORKING CONDITIONS**
- Position is primarily office-based working conditions, with ability to go on the plant floor depending on work assignments.; Work hours: Maximum - 40 hours/week - Day shift Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.
