**Project Manager: Virtually There**:
College of Nursing researchers create equitable and sustainable solutions to improve health experiences and outcomes for individuals, families, and communities provincially, nationally, and internationally. Researchers explore how innovation can lead to new or better ways to solve problems. Through this research, we challenge existing ideas and assumptions of current health and education systems to see how new solutions can provide the best outcomes for health care providers, patients, educators and students.

**Primary Purpose**:The Project Manager position is integral to the successful execution and implementation of the _Virtually There_ project. This project introduces Virtual Reality as a potential vector to new teaching strategies, curricular development, and improving student learning experiences. Through the _Virtually There_ project, the College of Nursing will develop a model for embedding and evaluating virtual reality and related technologies in our palette of pedagogical and technological opportunities for students, faculty, and partners (i.e., interdisciplinary and intersectoral stakeholders). The intent is to enable the College of Nursing to lead the Virtual Reality efforts strategically through a solid understanding, piloting, training, and evaluation plan.

This position is designed to support a diverse team of academic faculty, staff, students, and partners on a complex medium-scale project by leading communication efforts and ensuring meeting of project goals, timelines and standards contributing to improved student learning model.

**Nature of Work**: This position will be based in one of our three VR sites (Prince Albert, Regina, or Saskatoon). This position may be available for hybrid work arrangements, to be discussed with your supervisor. In province travel may be required.

**Typical Duties or Accountabilities**:

- Collaborate, build consensus, and assist the principals to deliver on multiple sub-projects,
- Communicate and reinforce project timelines and standards,
- Build and manage relationships with contractors and external partners,
- Report deliverables status to principals,
- Build and maintain coordinated resource plans, project plans, work breakdown structures, cost estimates, budgets, and timelines,
- Identify and advise on anticipated risks and issues related to the project and associated sub-projects,
- Monitor development and implementation activities to assist in on time and on budget project delivery,
- Manage simple contracts (employment; industry) in consultation with the principals,
- Support equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) within the research setting.

**Experience**: A minimum of four years of administrative experience, including working in a dynamic environment, preferably in a university setting supporting faculty or senior administrators is required. Evidence of working with multiple stakeholder groups including industry and government is preferred.

**Skills**:

- Highly effective communication skills, both written and oral, with an ability to effectively convey key messages to a variety of audiences.
- Ability to build consensus and maintain collaborative working relationships with a diverse group of people.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, self-motivated, and reliable.
- Strong problem solving and presentation skills.
- Some technical skills.
