In this role you will provide leadership, day to day operational excellence and employee engagement to ensure that the local operations team realizes its full potential and delivers standards of excellence to the business. You will build the culture that facilitates personal and professional development whilst working with peers and key cross-functional partners to continuously improve processes and to deliver a flawless experience for our customers.

The Program Operations Manager will work closely with the North American Portfolio Management team, North American Marketing team and the Canadian Commercial Team and other functional departments within the Research and Safety Market Division (RSD) to implement, provide input into, and report on progress of market specific programs and strategies as well as operational initiatives focused on aligning practices across North America.

**A Day in the Life**:

- Leads the local operations team of data stewards who optimize the portfolio data for Canada
- Identifies and ensures clear two-way communication of key requirements and updates within the RSD North American organization.
- Analyzes current processes, identifies standard methodologies in both the US and Canada and implements plans to adopt those at the NA scale:

- Business and Operational Processes
- New product launches to Canada
- Price roll (annual/mid-year price increases)
- NA programs/promotions (Activate Science, Flex Dollars, RESULTs, etc.)
- Defines, maintains, and implements project management methodology, including processes, tools, metrics and polices to ensure efficiency, quality and business success
- Build the organization to provide PM services, is accountable to make certain projects are delivered on time
- Lead the organization with a customer-first mentality and effective communications.
- Design and implement the operating cadence, including running coordination meetings, project updates, and overall oversight of projects.
- Work with management to provide project team direction and vision including focus and prioritization, motivating people to perform, listening, and recognizing strengths to best use available resources
- Forge tight partnerships with cross-functional leaders and complete activities in a productive and collaborative setting
- Implement process to pro-actively identify and resolve risks and dependencies that would prevent successful program execution.

**Keys of Success**

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science or related field, or equivalent work experience and technical training

**Experience**:

- 5+ years of project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning, and implementing significant/complex commercial marketing and business projects from vision through implementation.
- Proven experience in program management, partner management, leading managers

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**:

- Strong problem-solving skills
- Great organizational, people and communication skills
- Process oriented thinking and strong attention to detail
