The role of a gas station clerk involves assisting customers with fueling their vehicles and providing them with goods and other services available at the store. The following is a list of various responsibilities:

- Providing excellent customer service, answering questions, resolving problems, and helping current and potential customers.
- Build strong relationships with customers to ensure that they return for additional services in the future.
- Processing cash/credit/debit transactions and maintaining records of fuel and store sales.
- Cleaning and maintaining the facility, including restocking snacks and drinks.
- Using a cash register to provide information about products to customers.
- **Checking identification to prevent underage purchasers of lottery (age 18) and tobacco/alcohol products (age 19).**
- Maintaining a sufficient supply of fuel and other products sold, advising manager when restocking is needed.
- Safety awareness by recognizing potential hazards when customers fueling and following **Emergency Procedure Action Plan** if a situation occurs.
- Maintaining and processing accurate transactions to ensure end-of-day Z-reports balance.
- Other responsibilities as required by the needs of the gas station.

HOURS NEEDED

MONDAY TO FRIDAY: EVENINGS

SATURDAY SUNDAY: MORNING/AFTERNOON/EVENINGS

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: From $16.55 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 20 per week

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
