**Qualifications**:
Hold a Diploma of College Studies in Early Childhood Education or a diploma or an attestation of studies recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.

**AND**

Hold a certificate dated no more than three (3) years attesting to the successful completion of:
1. a standard first aid course of a minimum eight (8)-hour duration.

2. a refresher course of a minimum six (6)-hour duration updating the skills acquired in the course mentioned in subparagraph

**Other Requirements**:

- Bilingual (English and French)
- Comfortable and strong understanding of best practices and approaches to work with students with diversified and special needs, would be an asset
- Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Office)
- Testing required
- Promotion of health and wellness (use of My Daycare is Physically Active).
- Knowledge of AVANT GARDE
- Knowledge of entry of absences and substitutions in Payroll system (GRICS)
- Knowledge of Trauma Informed Pedagogical Practices
- Knowledge of zones of regulations and NVCI an asset.

**Nature of the work**

The principal and customary work of an employee in this class of employment consists in developing a program of activities for the day care service and ensuring supervision so as to foster, in keeping with the educational project of the school, the overall development of students, while taking into account their interests and needs as well as the rules. The employee sees to the general well-being of students and ensures their health and safety.

The employee also performs technical work related to the operation of the day care service, particularly regarding the management of financial, human and material resources.

**Daily Tasks/Dossiers**
- Maintains close communication with daycare personnel and school secretary.
- Regular contact and communication with principal.
- Ensures necessary equipment and material are accessible to staff.
- Maintains close communication with parent (change in parents schedule, etc.).
- Organize and plan a variety of activities for daycare (special events, outings on pedagogical days, etc.).
- Coordinate and supervise the work of educators (moving around at lunchtime and after school).
- Assist school administration in the management of financial resources (estimate of budgets, analyze data for revenue from enrolment grants and other operating expenses).
- Coordinate and lead a variety of activities for the benefit of daycare staff (professional enhancement days, staff meetings, use of technology, etc.).
- Connect with Daycare students and parents.
- Helps to coordinate schedules and payroll under guidance of school principal.
- Coordinate monthly meetings with daycare staff and principal
- Attend monthly Governing Board meetings
- Ensures adequate staffing daily for lunch and daycare.
