Works with assigned plants to implement, monitor, and ensure compliance with Altium programs and policies.- Will engage all workers at 8-12 plants to build a safety culture, with a special focus on leading indicators.
- Will work with plant management to drive a pro-active approach to safety
- Responsible for conducting incident investigations, including root cause identification and implementation of corrective actions
- Provides advice to the plant management on regulatory codes and compliance requirements (Federal OSHA and State OSHA plans)
- Works with assigned plants to ensure training goals are met and assist with building train-the-trainer program as needed.
- Facilitates hazard identification and mitigation via the plant safety teams.
- Works with corporate EHS to ensure compliance and preparation for local regulatory changes.
- Possess a high level of personal integrity, must be able to multi task, maintain a positive attitude and be a team player.
- Ability to challenge the organization in a manner that creates trust and respect.
- Experience leading EHS audits to drive continuous risk reduction.

**Qualifications**:

- 12+ years managing safety, environmental and quality programs.
- 7+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
- Substantial in-depth knowledge of applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations and compliance measures including permitting and certification obtainment.
- Substantial in-depth experience developing and implementing enterprise-wide safety and loss prevention programs.
- Extensive experience providing both strategic and hands-on support of safety for multiple sites.
- Ability to work well in a dynamic and complex environment.
- Must be technically organized, have excellent follow-up skills as well as interpersonal skills to present information in manners which are usable based on a variety of audiences.
- Ability to interact and interface with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines. Skilled at setting priorities & reassessing in response to changing demands.
- Travel 50% of the time.

**Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred
- Fluent in English and French

**Preferred**:

- Certified Safety Professional or Canadian Equivalent
