**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of Finance Master Plan, the Financial Analyst Master Plan will be responsible for maintaining financial records for the Trillium HealthWorks Projects, which include a new patient care tower at the Queensway Health Centre and a new Mississauga Hospital. The Financial Analyst Master Plan will work with the Financial Advisor Master Plan to support the project team in effective resource planning and tracking.
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Perform day-to-day accounting and financial duties through all phases of projects
- Ensure timely processing of project invoices and purchase orders
- Monitor spend and commitments against project contracts
- Prepare monthly project financial reports and adhoc reports that support business decisions
- Review and monitor actual performance to budgets for staffing, invoices, work orders, contracts and purchase orders, change orders, etc. with a high level of accuracy and within required timeframes
- Complete month end and quarter end closing activities including open PO analysis, cost accruals, assisting with vendor reconciliations, internal payroll allocations and variance investigation
- Effectively and accurately communicate discrepancies in project reports to Financial Advisor
- Ensure compliance with departmental financial controls, organizational policies, and external directives
- May be asked to support other aspects of the project as required
**Key Qualifications and Attributes**:
- University degree in accounting/business or extensive accounting experience
- Completion of or Enrolment in a recognized accounting program recommended
- Experience within the hospital sector construction environment preferred
- 5+ years accounting experience in a large organization preferred
- Ability to analyze and understand large volumes of financial data
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated skill with attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with Meditech is an asset
